Over 20% of children in Quebec, or 200,000 young people, experience some form of food insecurity, including nearly 12% who are moderately or severely food insecure.
19.8 %
19.8% of the Quebec population lives in a household experiencing some form of food insecurity.
The last country
Canada is the last G7 country to adopt a school food policy, which it must now implement to ensure food security in our schools.
+ 1.7 million
More than 1.7 million people in Quebec are affected by food insecurity. Demand for food services is growing rapidlyin particular for our aging population who wish to remain independent.

La Cantine pour tous, member of the Collectif québécois de la Coalition pour une saine alimentation scolaire
La Cantine pour tous is proud to be a member of the executive committee of the Collectif québécois de la Coalition pour une saine alimentation scolaire, a network of 130 non-profit organizations working together towards the implementation of a universal school food program in Quebec.
Le Collectif québécois has been hosted by La Cantine pour tous since its creation in 2019.
