Ville et villages en santé Rouyn-Noranda (VVSRN) is an NPO established in 1987. Its mission is to improve the quality of life of the population of Rouyn-Noranda by supporting, promoting and initiating concerted initiatives and projects by groups and individuals. In terms of vision, VVSRN and the Rouyn-Noranda community are mobilized, committed and in constant collaboration with a global health perspective. Importantly, the City of Rouyn-Noranda was the first in North America to commit to a "healthy city" approach, which gave rise to the current organization.
