Charlevoix-Est Community Assistance Service (SACC)

Service d'Aide Communautaire de Charlevoix-Est (SACC) is an organization that has been in existence for 36 years, since 1987. Originally founded as SAAB by Réjeanne Guerin and Roger Fournier to meet the essential food aid needs of the Charlevoix-Est community, the organization has evolved over the years to offer a more global approach to the fight against poverty.

As a result, SACC has adopted the name Service d'Aide communautaire de Charlevoix-Est to better reflect its broader mission. In addition to providing food aid, the organization is also involved in education and the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits among people in vulnerable situations on its territory.
