SNAC is the main food bank in Montreal's Ahuntsic district. The Service de nutrition et d'action communautaire was set up in 1992 in a neighborhood that had long been considered affluent, but had become more diverse and impoverished over the years.
SNAC's mission is to offer services to improve food security for Ahuntsic residents living in poverty, while promoting their autonomy and empowerment.
The means to achieve this are diversified: services, activities, tools, information, documentation and references.
