La Corbeille was created in 1987 to meet the community's need for assistance (distribution of food bags to the most destitute by the Sisters of Providence).
Its community mission is to provide food assistance to the underprivileged through a community grocery store, Le Magasin d'Émilie, meals in local elementary school for children eligible for the food measure, and programs to reinforce empowerment, movement and autonomy.
The organization is also involved in the socio-professional integration of people far removed from the job market.
