Meet Jihane, the link between your generosity and our impact

Since last April, La Cantine pour tous has had a new lease of life. The arrival of Jihane Laalajsenior Advisor in Philanthropy, marks an important milestone in our work willingness to invest in mobilizing a community deeply committed to our mission.

With nearly 10 years' experience in the Quebec community, Jihane has an essential mandate: to grow the philanthropic development of La Cantine pour tous. 
« When I arrived in Quebec in 2010, I never imagined myself working in philanthropy. Volunteering was my gateway to integration, and today, my greatest pride is in offering everyone the chance to be part of the solution. When we think of philanthropy, we often think of major gifts. But it's much more than that: is strategic expertise in mobilizing communities, understanding complex issues, and combining empathy, rigor and long-term vision to make a lasting impact.

Our vision: responsible, healthy, accessible food for everyone, throughout Quebec.

Eating is a fundamental need! And yet.., one person in five in Canada is food insecure and we must collectively make it a priority. We are the only G7 country not to offer lunches to primary school pupils in our public schools. It's more than a question of food security, it's a question of our country's future.
