This means that everyone is free to pay whatever amount they wish, with no strings attached. The catering organizations receive a fee of La Cantine pour tous to cover their expenses.

Before being associated with a school in their region, each member organization is certified by La Cantine pour tous, which ensures compliance with best practices in food production.

This is made possible by the generosity of our backers, financial partners and donors.

"In addition to offering affordable, healthy meals, you introduce young people to foods that I can't afford. My 5-year-old came home from school the other day saying he loved Brussels sprouts! I sincerely hope that other schools will be able to take advantage of this wonderful program

Parent from Sacré-Coeur school (Quebec), 2024

"If it hadn't been for $1, I wouldn't have been able to... La Cantine pour tous gives me a chance to find food for my children. If I made lunches, I wouldn't be able to provide such good meals. It's hard to get a full grocery store, even with food banks. I'm all alone with three kids

Anonymous parent, 2023

"Students are all equal and that's what we love about it!"

Christian Faucher, Principal, École Sacré-Coeur (Québec) 2024

"La Cantine pour tous helps us save money. It allows me to buy meals for my children every day of the month. When I pay $1, it's a great relief because my medical situation doesn't allow me to work and I have 3 children. Thanks to La Cantine pour tous I can rest a little. It also helps my children discover new meals."

Anonymous mother, 2023

"Thank you for being so wonderful. As a parent who cares about what our little ones eat, I love the food you offer and, more importantly, I love that they love the food AND that you really care. That makes me love you even more!"

Anonymous parent, 2024

"Having a full belly is a predisposition to good learning, so for us it's important that everyone has the chance to have a healthy, complete and accessible meal at school."

Marie-Soleil Jacques, vice-principal, École de L'Orée-du-Parc (Montreal), 2023
