Social Pricing (SP):
facilitating access to
home-delivered meals

Social pricing of La Cantine à domicile allows seniors in vulnerable economic situations to order frozen ready-made meals, paying only a fraction of the price. This affordable pricing, available upon referral and subject to conditions, promotes food autonomy for seniors and helps them remain in their own homes.

Social pricing: supporting food autonomy and access to meals.

Food insecurity
affects nearly

20%

of Quebecers

For seniors, food insecurity is often linked to limited budgets and a loss of independence, which can make grocery shopping and meal preparation more difficult. That’s why La Cantine à domicile offers social pricing: financial support that reduces the cost of frozen ready-to-eat meals, making them more accessible and helping to prolong food independence while supporting home care.

This social pricing is made possible thanks to the financial support of our partners, funders, and private donations.

Two levels of social pricing
to provide the most appropriate support.

To effectively meet the needs of seniors, we offer two levels of social pricing. La Cantine pour tous’ contribution varies depending on the level assigned, as does the duration of support.
