Service de nutrition et d’action communautaire

The SNAC is the main food bank for the Ahuntsic neighborhood in Montreal. The Service de nutrition et d’action communautaire (Nutrition and Community Action Service) was established in 1992 in a neighborhood long considered wealthy, but which had become more diversified and impoverished over the years.

The mission of the SNAC is to offer services to improve the food security of residents of the Ahuntsic district who are experiencing poverty, while promoting their autonomy and their power to act.

The means to achieve this are diverse: services, activities, tools, information, documentation and references.
