Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Communications Officer is responsible for participating in the development and implementation of the communications strategy to strengthen the mission’s positioning and contribute to philanthropic development.
More specifically, the person is mandated to implement communications activities to optimize the participation rate and adherence to our Canteen at Home program, while promoting the Canteen for All brand.
The person will also be in charge of communications for philanthropic development, notably by creating solicitation campaigns.
Our challenges
Program communications La Cantine à domicile
- Participate in the development and implementation of the communication plan;
- Write and design key communications tools (newsletters, multi-target e-mail sequences, website content, etc.);
- Manage the segmentation of targeted audiences;
- Manage social networks, including feeding the publication calendar, writing and ensuring engagement, according to best practices;
- Keep the showcase site and the order site up to date in terms of content;
- Analyze key indicators and make recommendations to achieve sales targets;
- Raise the profile of the organization, its programs and its members;
- Collaborate with customer service and the manager of La Cantine à domicile to understand the needs of different audiences and adjust communications activities accordingly;
- Perform any other related tasks.
Communication for philanthropic development
- Participate in the implementation of fundraising strategies;
- Develop and deploy digital solicitation campaigns (write, adapt, distribute, segment, etc.);
- Set up e-mail sequences to build loyalty among occasional and monthly donors;
- Perform any other related tasks.
Communication for La Cantine pour tous
- Social media and web content management for La Cantine pour tous ;
- Carry out strategic intelligence ;
- Stay abreast of new trends in digital marketing and digital content and community management;
- Analyze social media performance and develop reports to evaluate the effectiveness of our strategies and make improvements;
- Perform any other related tasks.
Qualifications
- Theoretical knowledge equivalent to a bachelor’s degree with five (5) years’ experience in a similar position.
- Studies in communications, project management, or other relevant field
- Knowledge of how NPOs and social economy enterprises operate
- Excellent 360° vision and teamwork skills
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- Ease of communication, presentation and synthesis
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize
- Organizational skills, thoroughness and attention to detail
- Openness to constructive feedback and ability to turn it into a source of optimization (self-challenge)
- Interpersonal skills, including active listening and a positive attitude
- Be results-oriented and solution-oriented
- Expertise with digital tools
- Good knowledge of social networks and their power of influence
- Zoho: Intermediate level
- WordPress : Intermediate level
- Canva : Intermediate level
- French and English (spoken and written) : Advanced level
- Office Suite (including Excel) and Google: Advanced level
